Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed from my website in error or misidentification, you may send me a counter-notice with the following information:

Required Information:

  2. Description of Removed Content:

    • Describe the content that was removed

    • Identify where it was located before removal (URL)

  3. Good Faith Statement:

    • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification

  4. Consent to Jurisdiction:

    • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where you live (or if outside the U.S., the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Alabama)

    • A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original copyright complaint

  5. Your Signature:

My Process

When I receive a copyright notice:

  1. I will review the notice to ensure it contains all required information

  2. I may remove or disable the allegedly infringing content

  3. I will make a good faith effort to notify the person who posted the content

When I receive a counter-notice:

  1. I will forward it to the person who filed the original notice

  2. If I don't receive notice of a court action within 10-14 business days, I may restore the content
