My Commitment to Fair Housing

I am committed to providing equal professional service to all people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin.

Fair Housing Act

All real estate services I provide are subject to the Federal Fair Housing Act (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended), which makes it illegal to discriminate in housing based on:

  • Race

  • Color

  • Religion

  • Sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation)

  • Disability (physical or mental handicap)

  • Familial Status (families with children under 18)

  • National Origin

What This Means

I will not:

  • Refuse to show, sell, rent, or negotiate housing based on protected characteristics

  • Discriminate in terms, conditions, or privileges of sale or rental

  • Advertise in a way that indicates preference, limitation, or discrimination

  • Make, print, or publish discriminatory statements

  • Represent that housing is unavailable when it is available

  • Engage in blockbusting or steering

  • Deny access to or membership in any real estate service, organization, or facility

Alabama Fair Housing Law

In addition to federal law, Alabama law also prohibits housing discrimination. I comply with all state and local fair housing laws.

Reasonable Accommodations

If you have a disability and need reasonable accommodation to access my services or properties, please let me know. I am committed to making reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access.

Report Discrimination

If you believe you have experienced housing discrimination, you can:

File a complaint with HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development):

File a complaint with Alabama:

  • Alabama Fair Housing Law

  • Contact your local fair housing organization

File a lawsuit:

  • You may file a civil action in U.S. District Court or state court within two years of the alleged discriminatory act

Equal Housing Opportunity

I am an Equal Housing Opportunity real estate professional. I support and comply with the Fair Housing Act and all applicable fair housing laws.
